Cleaning powder from Solute
Solute™ cleaning powder is specially designed for cleaning (blindfilling) semi-automatic espresso machines. Its unique formula removes coffee grease and residue from the coffee group, valves, valves and pipes. Solute is recommended for use with a wide range of traditional espresso machines and is also great for cleaning filter carriers. Thanks to its powerful formula, 4 to 5 grams is sufficient per cleaning.
Solute Barista Support tip: Make sure the portafilter handle is not submerged in water to prevent damage or discoloration.

How do you use the cleaning powder?
- Place a blind filter in the filter carrier and add up to 1/2 teaspoon (4 to 5 g) of Solute cleaning powder.
- Place the filter carrier in the group.
- Turn the machine on for 10 seconds and then stop for 10 seconds.
Repeat this 5-10 times.
- Remove the filter carrier with blind filter and flush the group.
- Place the filter carrier with blind filter back in the group and repeat the second step without Solute cleaning powder 5-10 times to thoroughly flush the machine. Make an espresso and discard it to make sure there is no residue left in the group.
- Meanwhile: Put the filter trays and filter carriers in a bowl of warm water with 1 teaspoon (6g) of Solute cleaning powder per 1 liter for 30 minutes. Rinse with plenty of warm water.
